Fighting with acidity or acid reflux is not an easy job. Popping pills might provide you immediate relief but should be avoided in log run. There is various home remedy which you can try for relief from acidity. The remedies are very effective and offer fast relief from acidity. Below is some home remedy which you can try for acidity.

So lets see natural remedies to cure acidity

Jaggery

Jaggery:- you must have heard from your grandmother about the importance of Jaggery or Gur after you had your meal. There was a reason behind it. Jaggery contains high level of magnesium. Magnesium increases the strength of the intestine. This improves our digestion and reduces the risk of acidity.

Cold Milk

Cold milk:- Drinking a glass of cold milk helps in decreasing the burning sensation in stomach. The milk should be plain one and not mixed with any other sweeteners. Since it has calcium it stops the surplus secretion of hydrochloric acid and also helps in absorption of acid in stomach. It is one of the most trusted remedy over a period of time.

Banana

Banana:- It is one of the most suggested remedy for acidity as it comes with lots of benefits. They are high in fiber and also rich in potassium. One should try overripe banana as it helps in providing relief for acidity faster. Also try to add cucumber and yogurt to your diet as they provide relief from acidity.

Coconut Water

Coconut water:-Drinking a Coconut water is very good way to remove all the toxins present in our stomach.  This drink is rich in fiber and helps in regularizing of our bowel movement which will help in reducing the acid reflux. Always see to it that one must have coconut water on empty stomach as this helps in best solution for acidity.

Butter Milk

Buttermilk:-It is also a best remedy for acidity. The lactic acid present in buttermilk helps in neutralize the acid in stomach. It is a natural coolant. It helps in digestion and when the digestion is good it will help in decreasing the gas and acidity. You can sprinkle pepper on buttermilk for added benefits. Make it a habit to have a glass of buttermilk after your meal.

Mint

Mint:-Mint or Pudina also helps in cooling down when you are affected by acidity. It helps in your digestion which is the main cause for acidity. One can boil mint leaf with one glass of water. Drink the water after it cools down. You can also try the same with Basil (Tulsi) leaves for relief in acidity.

Ginger

Ginger:- Ginger also helps us indigestion. Hence you can use it in cooking or boil a glass of water with ginger pieces in it. When the water has reduced to half, you can strain it and drink it.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple Cider Vinegar:- The alkaline effect of apple cider vinegar can help you in treating the acidity. Take a glass of water and add one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and have it in empty stomach every morning.

Cumin Seed

Jeera or Cumin seeds are very beneficial as per Ayurveda. This spice is known to keep acidity and indigestion at bay. It works as a potent acid neutralizer and helps in cleared off acidity. Jeera water can help in getting rid of acidity, bloating and indigestion. It is also used in weight loss. You can prepare Jeera water once in morning and can consume it 2-3 times a day.

Cinnamon

Cinnamon is another spice which helps in improving digestion and help in bringing down the stomach acid. It is a natural antacid for stomach acidity. Add one pinch of cinnamon powder in water or honey and consume the same after the meals. This will help you in digestion especially after heavy meals. Cinnamon is one of the best alkalizing spice which shouldn’t be ignored.

Cloves

Cloves or Laung helps in preventing excess acid production in stomach. They have a spicy and pungent taste. It also helps in removing formation of gas and are known for medicinal properties. One of the best ways to have it is sprinkle crushed clove to curries or sweet dishes to treat acidity. You can take 2-3 cloves and chew it completely so the juice enters your stomach. It will also freshen up your breathe.

Drink at least 2 liter of water everyday. Also see to that you have a warm glass of water after your meal. All the above ingredients are found in our kitchen hence why not give it a try instead of popping the pills.
